Ok, so you're not a cat! But have you ever noticed just how flexible and mobile cats are?
Us Humans are no different, well to a lesser degree of course. It can be an odd concept to grasp at first but when you become more flexible, not only do you improve your mobility and joint health but you also improve your muscle strength too. As you stretch you are making your muscles become more pliable which means you're lowering your chance of injury and therefore increasing your over all health.
As the human body ages it loses strength and the muscles become less flexible creating, a chain reaction of sorts with decreased mobility and a higher chance of injury. You may of noticed this yourself as you've become older. So we can see just how important adding regular stretching and mobility exercises to your routine can be.
It's a known fact that you can't build a house without firm foundations and by building a strong fitness foundation, you'll therefore be building a stronger and fitter you - no matter how old you are!
